BODY
The overall design and build of the scooter is majorly inspired by the beaches of Italy. This is replicated through the most elegant color variants these scooters come in. ENGINE
Talking about the scooter’s engine, it is a 149.5 cc, single cylinder, 3 valve SOHC engine with an emission standard of BS4. The system is air cooled and supports both electric and kick start like almost all other scooters that are available in the market today. Even though it is considered a simple cruising scooter in the market, it is seemingly really powerful. With its max power of 11.40PS @ 7000 rpm and a max torque of 11.50 Nm @ 5000 rpm, the Vespa Elegante 150 is amazingly fast and powerful for what it is believed to be. The engine is mated to a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox. It has a top speed of 90 kmph on the smooth roads and can be driven through some off-road terrain as well.

The scooter’s fuel tank capacity is at a whopping amount of 7.4 liters, which is large for a scooter of this segment and thus is able to easily give a mileage of 40 kmpl. This scooter's 11- inch alloy wheels are tubeless tyres, where its front tyres come with the dimensions of 110/70-11 and the rear tyres with 120/70-10. The scooter is fitted with 220 mm disc brake at the front and 140 mm drum brake at the rear that heavily provides added support and sturdiness.
The suspension system handled by aircraft derived single side arm with an anti-dive feature at the front and dual effect hydraulic shock absorber at the rear which makes the braking system and riding experience so much more smooth and risk free. With a seat height 770 mm and a ground clearance of 155mm, this simple designed scooter gives an astonishing off road experience too. The kerb weight of this scooter is 114kg which makes it glide through the streets of Nepal.
