TVS’s electric scooter the iQube

TVS’s only electric scooter, the iQube that first debuted in 2020, has been updated and launched again with its new 2022 variant in the Indian market. The all-new TVS iQube is designed to give the rider the best comfort, convenience and superior riding experience. The overall design of the scooter has not changed from its previous variant but has improved range, overall performance and fairly new features. The scooter comes in three new variants; the iQube, iQube S and iQube ST. This scooter comes with a silent, hub-mounted motor and a peak power output of 4.4 kW and has zero loss of transmission. The scooter at full charge is able to give a range of 145 km. It only takes about 5 hours to charge from 0% to 80%. If an average commuter rides it 30 kms per day the scooter can go without charging for 4 full days. The top speed of this scooter is 82 km/h and accelerates from 0-40 km in just 4.2 seconds which is commendable for an electric scooter. This e-scooter is equipped with narrow, horizontal LED lights with indicators on the front and rear as well, and the seat is repositioned for better riding position. Talking about the new technical features, the Q-park assistance will help the rider move forward or backward easily. The DTE (Distance to empty) feature on the fully digital dashboard shows the estimated range of the scooter. These features along with other indications such as battery level, turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alert, side-stand indication, is shown in the 5-inch TFT instrument cluster which is compatible with the scooter’s mobile application)The S model gets a 7-inch TFT cluster with HMI interaction and the ST comes with additional touchscreen features. Among other notable features are bluetooth connectivity, GSM connectivity, geo-fencing, anti-theft alert, P67-rated battery, Battery Management System (BMS), thermal management system, regenerative braking, and reverse parking assist. This scooter has connectivity with Alexa as well. Each unit of this scooter is assigned to a Relationship manager by TVS to assure their experience is taken care of. With such features, the TVS iQube comes at a price range of INR 98,564 to INR 1.09 lakhs. Thisscooter will surely make an impeccable impression in the Nepali market at its launch.
