India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer; Hero MotoCorp, has recently launched a completely new variant of its entry level commuter bike; the Splendor +. This 100cc bike has been upgraded with a digital meter and bluetooth connectivity, making it the Hero Splendor + XTEC. This model is an upgrade from the previous Splendor + I3 model, priced at INR 72,100.
Hero has been able to do an amazing job in adding such technical features to a bike of this segment, making it the first in segment features. This fully digital odometer will be equipped with features such as phone call and message alerts, real-time fuel efficiency, two trip meters and a fuel indicator that will make the riding experience really smooth. This bike surprisingly even has a USB port connectivity to manually connect one's smartphone to their bike.
At the heart of the new Splendor sits a 97.2cc BS-VI compliant engine producing 7.9 PS of power and 7000 RPM and torque on demand of 8.05 Nm at 6000. The transmission continues to remain the same traditional 4-speed unit. Talking about its new safety features, it now has a side stand alert and a side stand engine cut-off like most bikes and scooters have these days. The new Splendor comes knitted with LED High-Intensity Position Lamp (HIPL) and exclusive graphics. Also, the fresh LED strip enhances the front appearance of the bike and these elements contribute to making the Splendor a sportier-looking commuter bike. Splendor + has been a Hero bike that most users have always loved even in the Nepali market. The adults of the society prefer riding this bike as it is comfortable and easy to ride. The demand for this bike near the terai regions of our country is comparatively high and the new variant will definitely be even more popular among the riders all over Nepal.
