World Of Bike | TVS

TVS, named after its founder T.V.Sundaram, is the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer for the Indian Market. Initially the company started off as a bus service in the city of Madurai in the year 1912 A.D. and now in the current days is one of the largest players in the automobile manufacturing industry. From establishing gasoline stations and manufacturing plants through the years, TVS along with Clayton Holdings in England started a new company namely Sundaram-Clayton Ltd that manufactured TVS’s first mopeds. In the year 1992 they launched two models of motorcycles namely Samurai and Shogun and in the year 1993 they launched TVS Scooty. And from then on they were unstoppable.
TVS is a household name in the Indian market, but is just booming in the Nepali market. We can heavily see the TVS scooters and Apache bikes in the valley roads as it has recently gained much popularity. Under the ownership of Shanker group, Jagdamba Motors is the sole authorized distributor of TVS motor vehicles from the year 2015. TVS in the Nepali market is really fresh in both the bike and scooter segments. TVS Apache bikes have always been there in the market since their launch but once the Ntorq scooters entered the market, TVS has been able to cover a very wide share of the market in the Nepali two-wheeler segment. Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd. has a wide dealer network with 115 dealers across Nepal with 4 exclusive showrooms in Kathmandu. Their service points and the 150 service staffs accumulate to the amazing after sales service they provide.
They have curated a lineup of two-wheelers that include the flagship TVS Apache bikes and TVS Ntorq scooters. The TVS bikes currently include TVS Apache RTR from 310cc variants to the 160cc variant, TVS Raider 125, TVS Max 125, TVS Stryker 125 and TVS Radeon 125. The TVS scooters lineup include TVS Ntorq series, TVS Jupiter, TVS Wego, TVS Dazz and TVS Zest. The variation that TVS is providing from the budget scooters and bikes to the highly technology friendly racing scooters and bikes is really praise worthy. TVS has made itself a way in being a more tech savvy company among the ones in Nepal. TVS is now catering to the young, enthusiastic and middle aged generation of consumers, making it the 5th largest two-wheeler company in Nepal.
