TVS’s flagship scooter of the year is now available in the racing edition. With the previously successful and loved models of the TVS Ntorq 125 series in the Nepali market, Jagadamba Motors has virtually launched the race edition of this scooter through different social media platforms. ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE

TVS  has introduced the Ntorq 125 series with the most popular and awaited engine, the RTFi BS-VI engine (Race-Tuned Fuel Injection System) that makes it even more amazing than it already is. The 124.8 cc, 3 valve engine makes it the most powerful engine in the market today. It has visually improved on the fuel efficiency sector from its predecessor the BS-IV variant. The plain-Jane NTorq 125 was already among the most powerful 125cc scooters available, and the Race Edition, further takes the crown in that department. 

BODY

Ntorq 125 race edition is weighted at 118 kgs. This weight may seem to be a bit overwhelming for regular usage as it is on the heavier side, it can be justified with the power it provides.  With the longest wheelbase in its segment, the Ntorq 125 race edition can be considered to be the most stable and easy to control scooter of all. The fuel storage capacity has been modified to fit an additional 0.8 litres of fuel, making it a total of 5.8 litres of fuel, more than its previous variants. 

The scooter comes with broad 12 inches wheels on both ends of the vehicle that consists of a 100/80-12 front tyres and 110/80-12 rear tyres for extra grip and support required to drive on the roads of the valley. The scooter comes in two brake variants; 130mm drum brake and the 220mm Roto Petal disc brake. The 700mm well cushioned and padded seats on the scooter are pretty comfortable to ride on the bumpy roads of the valley. It also comes with ample storage space under its seat and the hooks placed on the frontal part of the scooter.

TECHNOLOGY AND ADDED FEATURES

The most raved about feature of the TVS Ntorq 125 series is the X-connect, making it the first connected scooter of the time. With features such as digitized meter consoles, bluetooth connectivity, mobile application usage and more, the race edition is truly a scooter fit for the century. The digital screen shows fuel indicators, engine malfunction lights, eco and power mode, basic light indicators and high and low beam indicators. 

The feature that distinguishes the Ntorq 125 race edition from the other 125cc scooters is the changeability of driving modes. Using the mode switch button situated at the bottom of the digital console, one can switch their driving modes from street to sports. The switch from sports to street mode will ensure that less fuel is burnt, keeping both the environment and our pockets happy. 

DESIGN 

The overall body design of the TVS Ntorq 125 series is heavily inspired by the stealth aircraft design that gives all these scooters a swift and fast moving look. The new DRL (Daytime Running Lights) LED headlights are well revised and have a sleeker and premium finish, whereas the side lights still hold the bulb system. The revamped and new graphics added to the body of the scooter gives it a racer feel. The RTFi logo on the frontal part of the scooter gives an additional branding to the major feature of the Ntorq 125 race edition. The checkered designs along with the faux carbon fiber feel, gives it a premium feel for the price that it is tagged at. 

The overall design, revised features and performance enhancers of the Ntorq 125 race edition is targeted towards the younger strain of consumers in the Nepali market.
