Yamaha Nepal 15 Years Leadership of FI with Revolutionary 10-Year Warranty

Celebrating a remarkable journey of 15 years, Yamaha, a prominent figure in the motorcycle industry, proudly marks its pioneering of Fuel Injection (FI) technology in Nepal. This milestone signifies a decade of innovation and underscores Yamaha's steadfast dedication to excellence and customer contentment. To honor this achievement and showcase confidence in their products, Yamaha unveils an unprecedented 10-Year Warranty on all FZ FI V3 Standard and FZ FI V3 Deluxe motorcycles, marking a historic first for any two-wheeler company in Nepal to offer such an extensive warranty.

Fuel Injection technology has transformed the landscape of motorcycles, offering riders enhanced fuel efficiency, smoother performance, and diminished emissions. Yamaha, renowned for its relentless pursuit of innovation, embraced FI technology early on and has since refined it to deliver an unmatched riding experience.

The introduction of the groundbreaking 10-Year Warranty signifies Yamaha's resolute commitment to quality, durability, and customer satisfaction. It reaffirms Yamaha's stature as a brand synonymous with reliability and trustworthiness. This milestone not only commemorates Yamaha's accomplishments but also reiterates the dedication to innovation, quality, and customer fulfillment. As Yamaha looks towards the future, the company remains devoted to pushing the boundaries of technology and providing extraordinary experiences to riders worldwide.

A decade and a half ago, a revolution began on the streets of Nepal. Yamaha Nepal spearheaded this revolution with the revolutionary YZF R15, introducing Fuel Injection (FI) technology to the country. This wasn't merely a technological advancement in motorcycles; it heralded a new era in the riding experience.

During a period dominated by carburetor engines in the two-wheeler realm, Yamaha's FI engine innovation addressed significant drawbacks such as decreased engine performance, higher fuel consumption, challenging starting, and excessively fast engine idling. These issues had previously gone unaddressed by motorcycle manufacturers. The advent of 'FI Innovation' introduced something entirely novel to the Nepalese market.

In 2008, Yamaha Nepal initiated a revolution on Nepal's roads with the launch of the groundbreaking YZF R15, the first motorcycle equipped with Fuel Injection (FI) technology. At that time, FI technology was considered a premium feature. The YZF R15, with its FI engine, provided a completely new riding experience: outstanding engine performance and responsiveness, remarkable fuel efficiency, and effortless starts. Its sporty design made it a favorite among motorcycle enthusiasts, while the innovative Japanese FI engine appealed to the masses.

As Yamaha's FI engines gained momentum and recognition in the market, the Yamaha parent company devised strategies to make FI components accessible to all. Consequently, in 2014, the "Lord of the Street," the FZ, became the first naked motorcycle with an FI engine, a pioneering accomplishment. This was the same motorcycle that had conquered Mt. Everest base camp with its predecessor carburetor engine. The excitement surrounding the FI engine reached new heights, with riders eager to witness the capabilities of the FZ FI motorcycle. This model became one of the most acclaimed motorcycles of its time, and its legacy endures with the new FZ Series models.

That same year, the Yamaha Fazer joined the FI fray, further solidifying Yamaha's leadership in fuel-injected engines. This bike was tailored for adventurous road trips.

The FIvolution persisted! The YZF-R3, a 321cc masterpiece, made its debut in 2015, equipped with a best-in-class FI system. This speedster became the most anticipated motorcycle of its time.

In 2017, the FZ25 elevated the standards even higher, becoming the first 250cc motorcycle with an FI engine in Nepal. It also marked Yamaha's first 250cc motorcycle introduction in the country.

2018 witnessed the arrival of the refined YZF R15 V3, building upon the legacy of FI technology with enhanced efficiency and power.

With FI engines, Yamaha set new benchmarks in the Nepalese market, not only with motorcycles but also with scooters. The Nepalese market had never witnessed anything like it.

In 2019, Yamaha introduced the first FI scooter in Nepal – the formidable NMax (155cc). The NMax, a maxi scooter with FI, received widespread acceptance in the Nepali market. Following this success, Yamaha introduced FI technology to the 125cc scooter segment. The Fascino 125FI became the first-ever scooter with an FI engine, offering superior performance, power, and mileage. Previously, scooters ranged from 100cc to 113cc. The introduction of the Fascino with FI in 2015 transformed the landscape, and soon, competitors followed suit with similar engine capacities.

Soon after came the RayZR 125 FI in 2020, adding another chapter to the FI narrative. The scooter went on to become the best-selling scooter of modern times. Thanks to its FI technology, the RayZR 125 FI was perceived by the public as the scooter offering the highest mileage, boasting an impressive 58 kmpl.

To cater to the touring segment, the neo-retro sensation, the FZ-X, debuted in 2022 with a potent FI engine. That same year, Yamaha introduced the fastest scooter in Nepal, the Yamaha Aerox 155, further consolidating their dominance in the performance segment.

The FIvolution continued to push boundaries. In 2023, Yamaha introduced Nepal's first Hybrid scooter, the RayZR 125 FI Hybrid.

The saga continues in 2024 with the introduction of the Yamaha FZ V3 Standard, a new performer added to the FZ Series, offering the best price in the category.
